Collecting Classroom Ideas... Through Hashtags

If you're on social media, you've probably seen hashtags used a lot over the last few years.  In some cases, they're used to create an automatic album of children.  In other cases, they're used to add funny punchlines.  But originally, hashtags were used to collect ideas on social media under a common theme.

For example, if you search Twitter using #growthmindset, you'll find hundreds of ideas others have tweeted regarding this growing conceptIf you search #dayofthedead, you'll find hundreds of tweets showing how the day is celebrated around the world.
