Back to School with Google Classroom

Welcome back to school!

Over the summer, Google Classroom released several updates with new features. Google Classroom can serve as the digital "hub" of your classroom and allow parents and students to stay informed of upcoming lessons, projects, and opportunities for collaboration. Here are some details about the new features you can use this year.

Now you can click on a student's name in Google Classroom to see all work for that student in an easy to view stream.

Transfer Classroom Ownership

You can transfer ownership of a Google Classroom to another teacher if needed at anytime. The other teacher must be first added as a teacher in your Google Classroom settings before you can transfer ownership.

New Apps that Connect to Google Classroom

Over the summer, Quizizz, Edcite, and Kami launched integration support for Google Classroom. This means that you can easily post activities from these web tools to your Google Classroom for easy completion.

Grade and Add Feedback Question by Question in Google Forms Quizzes

Google Forms added the features of question by question grading and feedback for quizzes. This gives you more flexibility in how you grade and respond to student work.

Google Classroom Hub

Google has created an AWESOME hub for Google Classroom tips and guides to help you get started this year. Check out the #FirstDayInClassroom training space and get this year started with a bang!
